** HUDs issues management **

In order to fix the HUD issue introduced by SU7 and its new dedicated shader, our next update will change the meaning of the first parameter of the hud entry that can be defined in the [VCockpit] sections of the panel.cfg file:

  • 0: the VCockpit is a normal panel


  • 1 : the VCockpit is a HUD and uses the older shader hud=1,displace_x,displace_y,displace_width,displace_height
    • displace_x: displace the HUD texture along the X axis (a float).
    • displace_y: displace the HUD texture along the Y axis (a float).
    • displace_width: displace the HUD texture width (a float).
    • displace_height: displace the HUD texture height (a float).


  • 2: the VCockpit is a HUD and uses the new shader hud=2,yaw_offset,pitch_offset,width_angle,height_angle
    • yaw_offset: This can be used to displace the HUD texture around the X axis, (a float, in degrees).
    • pitch_offset: This can be used to displace the HUD texture around the Y axis (a float, in degrees).
    • width_angle: Set the angular width of the HUD element (a float, in degrees).
    • height_angle: Set the angular height of the HUD element (a float, in degrees).



This change will allow already published aircraft to work as expected while developers adapt to the new shader if the wish to.
