[Bug] - CGL over TIN rendering issues

Hello,

We have multiple products for Canadian Airports (Toronto, Vancouver) both with custom CGL. With the new Canadian World Update, which includes new TIN for Vancouver and Toronto, we have noticed issues with the way CGL renders over TIN (Photogrammetry).

The CGL renders normally over TIN when the flight is started at the airport. For example, spawning at CYTZ and the custom CGL will render first, as expected:

However, when flying away from CYTZ and returning, OR when flying into CYTZ, the TIN will render first. (See screenshots)

Please fix the issue so the CGL renders over TIN, regardless of the situation. The way devs use CGL custom orthoimagery is to replace the default (Bing) imagery and/or TIN photogrammetry.

Update: Seems that just excluding the TIN is enough to remove the issues. I will do some more testing, but it seems fixed.

@FlyingRaccoon @Boris_ Reopening this thread, as CGL over TIN is not consistent, at least in Canadian Airports, after SU Canada. Most of the times when I load the sim for the first time, TIN loads first (above) CGL. If I do ESC -> Restart, or go back to the main menu and re-launch the scenery, or open the project in Dev mode, then CGL loads over TIN, as expected.

I do have the TIN excludes covering the airport. I see this exact same behaviour in multiple airports in Canada (Calgary, Toronto City, Vancouver), can't tell if this happens elsewhere.

It's quite frustrating since my products are developed using CGL extensively, and due to the bug the experience is not consistent.

Just noticed that if I zoom out enough using the dev cam, the order fixes automatically. It only seems to happen when the scenery is loaded for the first time.

Hello @vantech,

We have not been able to reproduce this behavior with your package.

You can use tile debugging (Options > Ground > Debug Tile) to see if the status of the secondary aerial is "Available" and it will give you other informations

Also, maybe a rolling cache issue ? Conflict with another package in your community folder ?

EDIT : A fix for an issue that caused inconsistent loads of secondary aerials has been made in the upcoming AAU1 update. You can already test the AAU1 beta or wait for the public version and tell us if it is better.

Regards,
Boris
