Default Kai Tak can not be removed in content manager on X-Box

Good morning
Since the 40 anniversary update, there is a default Kai Tak airport available which causes conflicts with my VHHX Kai Tak airport scenery. Now the problem is, that on XBox the users are not able to uninstall the default one, so the conflict cant be resolved which renders my airport unuseable and incompatible on XBox. Is there anything a user could do, to keep my payware version of the airport and get rid of the default one? Or, is there anything I can do to exclude the default one? As the issue is not only buldings duplicated but also terrain elevation jumps, I am not sure whether exlusion rectrangles are possible.
Thanks for a clarification!

Hello @charuma0

Is your airport setting the proper deletion options?
Airport Definition Properties (flightsimulator.com)

It is highly recommended to delete everything you plan to do in your own airport to avoid conflicts with base content or other 3rd party products.

We suspect that's causing the issue. Can you confirm this?

Sylvain

Hi Sylvain, thanks for your reply! I checked as suggested, but my airport already does contain all the delete options. This is the respective node residing inside my <airport></airport> node:

<DeleteAirport deleteAllApproaches="TRUE" deleteAllApronLights="TRUE" deleteAllAprons="TRUE" deleteAllFrequencies="TRUE" deleteAllHelipads="TRUE" deleteAllRunways="TRUE" deleteAllStarts="TRUE" deleteAllTaxiways="TRUE" deleteAllBlastFences="TRUE" deleteAllBoundaryFences="TRUE" deleteAllJetways="TRUE" deleteAllControlTowers="TRUE" deleteAllDepartures="TRUE" deleteAllArrivals="TRUE" deleteAllPaintedElements="TRUE" deleteAllLightSupports="TRUE" deleteAllTaxiwaySigns="TRUE" deleteAllILSs="TRUE" deleteAllTerminalWaypoints="TRUE" deleteAllTerminalNDBs="TRUE"/>

According to user feedback, it is also the terrain elevations, which cause issues so that seems not to be available in the delete options at all.

Main issue is though, that users are not able to delete the default Kai Tak from content manager in XBox as they apparently can for other airports (same applies to Meighs per some internet forum discussions).

My bad, in the case of duplicate buildings and terraforming problems, the solution is to use exclusion rectangles and polygons covering the area where you want to take ownership. I see you have some exclusion rectangles but I'm not quite sure they're covering the correct area.

Disabling a airport package is not possible on Xbox for now and I can't tell when it will be so I think handling this on your side is the most efficient way to solve the problem.

Please try to enable the Microsoft VHHX package on your PC and add exclusion rectangles and polygons and let us know if that fixes the problem or if there's something else.

Regards,
Sylvain

Hi Sylvain @FlyingRaccoon

May I ask to check this issue once more? I have reviewed your suggestion and missing deletion options are not found as the cause.

I now receive refund requests from my Xbox customers because my product (Kai Tak 1998) is unuseable.

The issue is described here as well: Meigs Field / Kai Tak missing from Content Manager on Xbox. Impossible to remove them - Bug Reports & Wishlist / Install, Performance & Graphics - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

In my case, the problem goes even much deeper: there are a large number of people, who bought my Kai Tak from marketplace on Xbox and for all of them my product is unuseable because they cant remove the default Kai Tak in content manager on Xbox. On PC its there, but not on Xbox. Why is this?

I kindly ask to review the issue and propose a fix (or workaround). Many thanks!

Regards,
Martin

Hello @charuma0

I can investigate more but here's what I need:
- your project sources so I can edit and rebuild your package for testing
- pictures and location of a list of buildings or other elements that shouldn't be rendered according to you so i can check very specific elements.

Regards,
Sylvain

@FlyingRaccoon

Plus, the following site suggests that only if I request my Kai Tak to be removed from marketplace, customers could demand a refund:

How to request a refund – Microsoft Flight Simulator Support (zendesk.com)

Please don't tell me, that due to the new default airport, I have to take my product away from market place? Just for Xbox, because my PC customers can remove the default aiport in the market place.

Thanks,
Martin

Customers are still complaining because the default and my kai tak are rendered upon each other on XBox. And still they can't remove the default one in content manager.

The deletion options don't help so the question remains, why can't the default kai tak not be removed on XBox?

Is there no other option than directing all of my XBox customers to this page: Request a refund for digital games | Xbox Support?
