Can someone explain to us how it is possible that there is a website that pirates all the content that is published on the simulator and ASOBO and MICROSOFT do nothing to prevent it. I know that they know it and that they are aware of the existence of that website because it have denounced it several times, but nothing is achieved. It seems unpresentable to me that this website is stealing the work of all of you and nobody does anything.
The internet is a big place, a website may not be hosted within a enforceable country. As such the files might as we be in the moon.
Drm protection is probably easiest done by some sort of online handshake, but that would mean you need a server in your side. EA has made it almost impossible to pirate fifa, call of duty. Because of that.
Is networking possible in WASM? AFAIK it's not allowed due to the sandbox.
Also when adding DRM some type of obfuscation is desired and AFAIK WASM obfuscation is not possible either.
And Microsoft can't do its best to block that server's DNS from being accessible by anyone?
If they do not have a domain, they stop having service to the whole world.
That is possible to do and Microsoft can prove that the block is legitimate by hacking.
