cowl flaps and drag

is it possible to add drag to cowl flaps?

I am sure they could add drag for the cowl flaps. I just think the drag would be less than the gear down and not noticeable enough in the sim to bother.

In some old multi radial engine planes, cowl flaps drag could decrease speed by 5 to 8 knots. This is very noticeable.

Since these planes don't have spoilers I was thinking if it is possible to bind spoilers position to cowl flaps position and remove all values but drag ones from spoilers in flight_model.cfg?

This way cowl flaps would assume spoilers drag value.

Is this possible? If so, does anyone knows how to do it?
