At what distance from the airport center do aprons begin to fail in appearance?

At what distance from the airport center do aprons begin to fail in appearance? Aprons seem to break up at distances from 7000 meters up to 12000 meters from the airport center. They also seem to break up at far distances according to an LOD type manner, with some views being OK and others at altitude being partially or fully disappeared.
