Wondering if anyone else's 3D models no longer get snow when exported.

Another bug I just ran into after SU5+hotfix.

I have snow on top of buildings all normally like always in dev mode, but then when exported building roofs don't have snow. It's like the no snow feature is checked off (when it is not).

Can someone quickly try to replicate this as well and report back? thanks.

I can confirm now with HF#2 - exported builds in your community folder (from SU5 editors), now have snow on custom models.

Now the rest of the huge issues to fix are:
- Make custom jetways spawn in again
- Make Aprons not pink when far from airport
- Make MaterialLib not destroy your thumbnails and render wrong textures

Hi @yorgosGK, I'm still not seeing snow on my custom objects. The strange thing is, sometimes it shows up in editor, but not on the package in community. Have you or anyone else been able to find a work around? I've already tried switching from ArtProj to ModelLib, but no luck.

I could get around it @yorgosGK @Opabst .
Switched from ArtProj to ModelLib in the assets package, and snow now settles on my models again fine as before

What do we need to do to get snow on our models? Is a special material setting needed as Environment occluder or something? I'm using blender for my models and currently do not get snow on them.

To get snow, nothing. It should render snow on the roofs automatically. Seems like it's a bug as others are reporting issues and my models get snow on a hit/miss basis.

I have found that textureless materials and non-pbr materials sometimes do not show snow in DevMode. Sometimes going far away and returning forces the snow. Seems pretty hit or miss to me.

Hi.

Since the SU6 we do not get snow on any models, even on those which had snow before.

Hello.

This is the same issue as reported here I think: Snow problem on third party scenery - MSFS DevSupport (flightsimulator.com)

Someone is having a look at it.

Regards,
Sylvain
