Sim beta group invitation - exact process

Hi,

we are in contact with several free-/payware developers which were invited to the sim-update beta program (ie. LittleNavMap, PMS, ...) before SU5 was released. Now my question is, how is the process to get access to the betas?

We had tried to contact Jörg Neumann (MS) but without any success - we haven´t received any feedback from him. Possible it´s the wrong way, but what is the right one to enter the beta-group?

You know, it´s also important for us, to be sure, that our services are working after an update, like all the other thousands of sceneries, addons, aircrafts, mods, ... So, when there is an option to test sim-updates before the official release, it would be great and will bring all in a win-win situation.

So, what is the process here? Which person should we contact to get such access to the beta´s like other free-/payware developers still have?

Thank you very much,

Richard

Hi Richard,

I don't think the last round counts as a Beta program, it seems to me it was more like a one off quick feedback round, which many as yourself didn't had the chance to participate.

For this reason I have created an idea to implement a proper beta program. Link here: https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/idea/2070/developer-beta-program.html

Hopefully with enough votes, we can help to make it happen.

All the best,

Raul

Hi Raul,

thanks for an answer - I have seen your link, and I support this idea also to 100% ...

I don´t know if this was a one off quick beta or not ... the devs which was involved in it speaks from a beta-test (also here in the forum). Also, when you read the answer from ASOBO in your posting, SonantAlpaca tells us, that this is not in their hands - it´s in Microsoft hands.

So, the question is still open - what criteria are need, to be invited from Microsoft to such tests and how is the process to be a part of it?

We were in contact with ASOBO before about this topic but also ASOBO relay us to Microsoft (as SonantAlpaca wrote). After that we have tried to contact Microsoft (Jörg Neumann directly) several times, but without any success. No answer, no reply, nothing, completely silent ...

Perhaps someone who has been in the beta program can explain how and by whom they were contacted. There are a lot of devs here in the forum, which were involved ...

Thank you,

Richard
