FS PackageTool stopped building when MSFS is running.

I would always build with FSPackagetool even while sim open, however it magically stopped working after core update and fresh install of MSFS. In addition, it always rebuilds the entire ModelLib - not just the net new .gltf and its textures I add. This introduces a massive lag in between builds and slows down my workflow drastically.

Please advise as to what I can do to get back to "normal". Not sure what created this hurdle.

Hello @yorgosGK
When you talk about a core update, do you mean SU8?

Do you have the MS Store version or Steam ?

I tried it in SU9 and did not encounter any problem.
You can try to uninstall the sdk-core, delete all remaining files in %MSFS_SDK%/Tools and install again the correct sdk-core for your version of the game

Thanks. Did this - no matter what avenue I take, suddenly the moment I tamper with ANYTHING, FSPackageTool must go through every single modelLib model including all the texture processing.

Before, if I had a packaged scene and I added a model, it would only "process" that 1 net new model. Now it takes super long as it goes through all of them all over. Not sure what at all changed - just out of the blue. I wonder if this is normal or not. I want to say it's not lol!
