How to use Template "ASOBO_AIRCRAFT_Door_Handle_Template" in aircraft.xml

Hello,


I managed to use ASOBO_AIRCRAFT_Lever_Canopy_Template in Aircraft.xml using a lever in my cockpit`s plane but i do not understand how to use the other Template: ASOBO_AIRCRAFT_Door_Handle_Template.

I tried to create a Handle from inside or outside, making it a child of the canopy, i really don t understand.


Could anyone explain how to use it ? Thank you.

I think the problem is that we can not control the canopy from OUTSIDE/....Exterior.xml.

And the canopy must be external InteractivePoint so that the animation in Template: ASOBO_AIRCRAFT_Door_Open_Close_Template works.

I noticed that placing the canopy INSIDE doesn t animate it.

If we set the canopy handle child of the canopy, it must be Inside (so that handle can work?) and outside as a child of the canopy...

The mouse rect nodes do have to be in the cockpit interior to work. So one way to solve this is to animate the canopy as you are doing and then animate the door handle on its own with the same movement but not as a child of the canopy.

The door handle can be parented to an empty that has it's origin in the same location as the canopy. Both animations share the same NLE track.

I made another animation matching the canopy`s one and i had to modify <ANIM_LAG>10</ANIM_LAG>, with value=10 (=100/10) because i had chosen 0.1 in Interactive Open/Close rate.

I still didn t try to parent the handle to an empty that belongs to exterior model, i didn t know that trick !!

I think adding: <INTERACTION_TYPE>switch...or lever...</INTERACTION_TYPE>

is necessary to the original template code that doesn t have this line.
