cameras.cfg InitialPbh not working

Maybe someone has an idea on this topic as well, for my open ticket.

I am trying to modify a view and found the camera documentation:
https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Content_Configuration/Cameras/Cameras_CFG/Camera_Definition_Properties.htm?agt=index

I want to bank the view with the InitialPbh = 1, 5, 0 command, but regardless what I enter in the middle section the view wont change.
The P pitch and h Heading value are correct changing the direction.

Is the b Bank value not implemented or is this a bug?
Below the full section of the relevant cameras.cfg

Thanks for any help,
Markus

Hello @compumark

Yes the bank value is ignored in the case of cockpit camera.
We'll add a note about this in the doc.
@Nocturne FYI

Sylvain

@flyingracoon

Is there a chance that it will be not ignored in the future?

The background is: I have 2 projectors which are not 100% horizontally aligned and its hard to get them 100% aligned, therefore I did the trick in P3D to "bank" the picture around 3° to the right to mitigate the issue.

I thought I can use the same in FS2020.

Would be great to have this as well.

best regards,

Markus

Hello @compumark

What image calibration/warping solution are you using? I'm surprised you can't adjust the image angle.
Compensating for this in the cockpit camera definition is indeed a dirty trick.

Sylvain

Hello Sylvain,

I am using the FlyElise Immersive Display tool for warping. Sure I can start the whole calibration again, I thought it would be easier to use the bank feature, as already used in P3D, than managing the many points to be aligned manually on the screen. I know its a dirty trick, but it works for my small private homecockpit ;-)

And with the comment of @tracernz below, seems that it would solve also their A32NX headache.

best regards,

Markus

This is why we can’t align the EFB view in the A32NX with the angle of the EFB (bracket is from the original MSFS flight deck model).

@tracernz Yes this lock should not apply to instrument cameras. I'll file a bug about this.
