Adding an aircraft model in the Blender format in the next SDK

Hello,

As far as Asobo supports (partially) Blender by offering it in the SDK, would it be possible to propose the sources of an aircraft in Blender format as what is done for the DA62, since the import function is not covered in the plugin provided?

This would perhaps allow people who do not have 3DS Max to get up to speed with the new beaucop features faster

Would be nice, but in the meantime the old importer works if you want to try that. There is also a blender 4.2 plugin that lets you import .MAX files, a little broken but enough to see what parts are called.

None of these options will help you learn about texture assignments though.

Thank for your answer and your tip.

Yes, I know the FBW old importer but if modifications are bring to the structure,
this plugin may not be compatible so as much to predict the future and not be satisfied with old even proven solutions.

Thanks for the thing about the plugin Blender 4.2, I did not know it: it is worth testing. This said Blender 4.2 is not supported and nothing says that you can open a file 4.2 with a version 3.6 without any damage.

What seems to me more interesting to understand rather than the textures, is how to organize the Blender file for decomposition into different parts given the new structure of 3D files proposed by MSFS 2024
