ADF functionality linked to avionics circuit state

Version: 1.6.34.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Low/High

Marketplace package name: mnd-aircraft-c22j

Context: in flight

Similar MSFS 2020 issue: same applies.

Bug description:

The functionality of the ADF radio is dependant on the CIRCUIT_AVIONICS state

Repro steps:

If CIRCUIT_AVIONICS is OFF or absent, the ADF will not receive.

Workaround: add a CIRCUIT_AVIONICS.

Hello,

This is by design and we can change the behavior as it will cause regression for msfs2020 products in msfs2024.

Regards,
Boris

Thanks @Boris , makes sense.

Could we know what else is linked to the CIRCUIT_AVIONICS still?

We could use electrical system versions for MSFS 2024 (e.g. version 2.3)

It is very minor anyway.

Mario N.

The biggest problem is when external hardware (Honeycomb Bravo, for example) have automatic switch assignments to AVIONICS OFF and people don’t put two and two together, then complain that their airliners don’t receive any VOR/ADF/ILS signals at all because the event coming from the switch cannot be overridden (and it keeps sending the event on full repeat every cycle - what a waste of CPU :stuck_out_tongue: ).

This caused huge headaches to the customer support team until we figured that out and told the customers.
