Aircraft dedicated apps in EFB

We are about to release the first plane for 2024 with a dedicated app in EFB. Dedicated to this particular plane. I have an initial observation.
Our next plane will have its own dedicated app, and the next next plane as well. Add to this planes from other developers, hopefully with their own apps… the EFB More Apps page will become pretty crowded, full of disabled icons.
I think a possibility to hide these icons and a way to group apps from given dev in a folder or so would be a good idea.

Here’s a real world example of this issue. There are seven apps in this screenshot that are functional only with specific aircraft, disabled otherwise. They don’t conflict with each other as only one is active at a time, but they still clutter the view. And the list will only grow longer as more developers start using the EFB in 2024 and more aircraft are added to the list.

Hello and my apologies for the late response.

This is already something that’s being tracked internally.
I can’t tell yet how it will be prioritized but I will update this thread when we make progress on this.

Glad to see this is already on the list. Adding another wish that it’ll get looked at in the near future. We’ve been holding off on adding any aircraft-specific apps to the EFB for this very reason.

It would be also usefull to have an option to disable (not allow to open) an app until actual flight.

Ideally, apps loaded from specific aircraft would get unloaded when that aircraft was no longer active. This would resolve the issue of the EFB getting overly cluttered with apps that no longer apply.
