Because of limited time and also stability after SU5 with the scenery editor I
have not tried to work on my airport project for a couple of months. My
project was initially designed beginning almost a year ago just as a learning
project for the SDK. It was working in the sim after SU5 but I did not add
anything or work on it. I just checked it at that time to make sure it was
working. Yesterday I downloaded SDK 15.0 and tried opening my airport project
to continue working on it. Every time I load the sim after building the
package the sim crashes to desktop as soon as the aircraft loads into the
airport. I cannot even get to the point where I can try and load into the
scenery editor. I am at a loss as to what the problem is here. I have not
worked on anything or made any changes in 2 months and yet now I can’t even
load the project to test or continue working on it. The Windows Event Viewer
shows the following error: Log Name: Application Source: Application Error

As a further update on this I tried spawning into one of my airport parking
spots and it worked just fine. When I try to spawn on the runway that’s when
it crashes. I saw a thread on FSDeveloper site about having a Primary and
Secondary Runway start or you would experience crashes after SU6. However my
airport already has both a primary and secondary runway start assigned. It
seems though that something with the runway start or runway is the culprit so
I will keep investigating since I am able to spawn into parking ok and load my
project in the editor from there.
I deleted my runway starts and created new ones and I thought that it was
fixed. However after multiple times trying the only way I can get into the
editor or into my airport is to spawn into a parking spot. When I spawn on the
runway the game crashes. I have no errors in the compiler for my project and I
can’t see where anything is wrong. It just CTD every time I spawn in on the
runway. The only way for me to continue working on this project is from a
parking spot but then I don’t know what else is wrong and if I am going to be
doing more work just for more problems…ugh…
