All Data Reads fail after enabling smoke when subscribed with PERIOD_SIM_FRAME (RedBull Aircraft)

Version: 1.6.34.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: High

Context: RedBull aircraft (Edge 540, MXS)

Bug description:

When a subscription using PERIOD_SIM_FRAME is active, as soon as the smoke system is enabled (either via binding or selecting switch in cockpit), simconnect stops responding to reads.
This may persist in perpetuity, or may only last a few seconds but it is reliably reproducible. If the sim is paused and resumed, data reads will work fine until the next time smoke is toggled off and on again.

Changing the subscription method to PERIOD_VISUAL_FRAME does not exhibit the same issue.

Perhaps this is related to these long-standing reports:

Attachments: If useful, I have a video showing data read update failure across two different simconnect applications (VPforce TelemFFB, SPAD.neXt)

Hello @Number4815901

I was able to replicate this one.
Hopefully, this is the consistent and easily replicable case we were looking for to resolve this long standing issue.
Thank you for reporting the problem.

Sylvain
