Is there a way to get the FS24 Avatar for FS20 aircraft?

Answering a bit late but no, this not possible and requires the package to be MSFS 2024 native.

Is there a technical reason why?
The node is there and the assigned pilot from the aircraft.cfg is assigned and placed correctly.

This is a different system in the code and requires a specific setup.
There are no plans to backport 2024 features to 2020 content. This applies to avatar system but also to preflight, wear&tear, career compatibility, newly introduced core systems, etc…
