Dear Asobo,
We need better way to handle spolerons, currenlty the only few settings we have for these, allows only to set them based on aileron input, however many aircraft out there, have much more fine tweaking of how they operate.
For example, the table below belongs to a Phenom 300E, where the spoilerons will limit the amount of spoiler based not only on ailerons, but on flap setting, the more flap you have the less spoilerons action it should have:
This is currenlty imposible to be done in MSFS 2024, since their angle can only be managed by the ailerons angle and ailerons gain ratio.
In addition, we are unable to code this custon either because there are no variables to be able to set the level of spoiler left or spoiler right individually via variables or events, the simvars are read only:
There is a second problem with how spoilerons operate, which I will report as a bug on a separate post, when spoilers deploy on the ground, the spoilerons function should stop to work, instead currently you land, spoilers fire (fully deployed) and if you use aileron control at tha moment the spoilerons operate, droping the spoiler on the relative wing, where as on a Phenom this doesn’t occur, the full ground spoiler operation overrides the spoileron functionality as a priority.
Kindly I would like to request the simvars for individual spoilers to be able to be overriden or alternatively further .cfg parameters that would allow us to set the spoilerons behavior and operation in acordance to real world operations on aircrafts such as phenom, preators, and other similar birds. This way I can code things custom, outside of what is default on the .cfg files and avoid bad ground handling behaviors during landing, etc.
All the best,
Raul
