I have a question regarding the walkaround mode in 2024. I know that there are 2 types of collisions: Material collisions and simple shape collisions. SInce the material collision is very performance heavy I wanted to use the simple shape collisions. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get them to work in the sim.
These are my settings in Blender for the collider:
Unfortunately, it does not show up as a collider in the sim. Am I missing something here? Or is is just better to use a collision material on a very very low poly mesh for the walkaround more?
(the red coll shapes in the background are default assets from FS_Base) The only coll shapes that are working in the scenery are default assets or material collisions
Thanks for the sample Boris. No, they were not parented. I didn’t know you have to. I tried with your example and now it works!
As for walkaround mode compatibility I opted for a very very very low poly mesh with a collision material instead though because the shapes you can create with the shapes are very limited so even though there is a bigger performance impact with the material I find that if used as scarcely as I did it has little to no impact.
Thanks for the help, suggestions, and sample. As always greatly appreciated.
