CTD when trying to compile airport package

Version: 1.2.11.0 (issue was present in previous version)

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Blocker

Context: Devmode, Project editor, Build package

Bug description:
Sim crashes when trying to build airport package. It was working fine in MS2020.
Tried deleting everything, leaving only Airport “object”, still crashes during building process, so it is most probably NOT because of some thing(s) placed wrong.
I was able to transition my other airport projects seamlessly, but not with this one.

Repro steps:
1.: Open Project Manager in devmode
2.: Open attached project
3.: Attempt to Build package.

Optional:
4.: Delete everything (aprons, scenery, polygons etc), leave nothing at all or some bare minimum like Airport itself and one apron
5.: Attempt to Build package. Should crash aswell

Did you try building outside the sim with fspackagetool also?

No, i don’t.
I need to adjust this airport first. If i only can build what was done in 2020 with that tool, it is pointless for me.

You could give it a try, maybe something is bugged in the sim itself.

remove

ReleaseNotes=“PackageDefinitions\junglist-airport-kcoe-coeur-d-alene\ReleaseNotes.xml”

from packageDefinitions’s xml

it will fix the compile issue

(ReleaseNotes.xml is not documented, it is indeed still included in some samples description, see AirportKALO @Nocturne a fix for you)

the following is the fixed file

junglist-airport-kcoe-coeur-d-alene.xml (1.2 KB)

btw your packagesources contains a folder named “data” pointing to a kdew airport, but of course it is ignored because it is missing in the PackageDefinitions)

Thank you, mamuDesign!
Legend!

[UPD]
Deleted release notes in Project Inspector and project exported fine. Problem solved.
