In MSFS 2020 i could use the (>F:KeyEvent) to access custom sim connect events in aircraft such as the pmdg airplanes via apps which use execute_calculator_code such as mobiflight and wasimcommander.
as an example 1 '69633' (>F:KeyEvent) will turn on the battery master in the PMDG777.
I’ve tested this morning and it works fine in msfs 2020 but in 2024 latest SU3 beta it does not work. I’ve also tried similar things with other aircraft that utilise custom sim connect events such as the LSH MD80.
I had noticed this previously but I had hoped it was connected to the issue where multiple events could not be triggered which has been fixed in the latest su3 beta
Hopefully this can be looked into and fixed as well.
I wanted to report the same thing, but I wasn’t sure if it was my issue or not. So yes, I also found the >F:KeyEvent form doesn’t work anymore in SU3.
We worked around this using Simconnect TransmitEx1 events ( the “#69633” form would be used in the OP example ), but it would be nice if the RPN method could be fixed, because it’s easier to use for hardware integration.
