Hello,
When compiling on SDK24 , the day night cycles aren’t working for emmisive texture and Spot lights.
It stay off at day time even if activated.
Can someone help me with that please ?
Thank you
Hello,
Is this a blender scenery that you used to export with the MSFS2020 exporter ?
If yes, did you convert it before exporting ?
I tried in SU1 and it works as expected using the day night cycles option
Regards,
Boris
Ok , no we didn’t used the Blender converter.
Yes it comes from MSFS20 blender exporter.
what we want to do is set emmissive On at day time
So we have to check this but what will be important to can do is simply have what type of features have changed because some object can come from another design software and reworked through Model converter X
Thanks for your help Boris
The Day/Night Cycles option is only used to make emissive materials visible at night and not during the day — this is by design.
To achieve the behavior you’re looking for (e.g. having the emissive visible during the day only instead), you could, for example, create two SimObjects and use visibility conditions with some RPN in the XML to swap between them based on the current time of day
This way, you could show or hide the emissive version depending on the time or other factors.
Hope it helps,
Regards,
Boris
Dear @Boris
We probably misunderstood each other.
We can set day night cycle = activated and then the emmisive texture will only work at night time
But We’ve always been able to activate it during the day time and the night time ( all day long 24h) by set = desactivated
I don’t want to only activate the emissive at day time , i want the emmissive to be activated at day and night time (example : a big screen that will be illuminate with the emmissive on a cloudy day , or a spot or a logo or a windows etc)
we are talking about scenery objetcs here , it is impossible to do thounsands of windows as simobjects just to have an emmissive working 24h (Day time + night time ), but i am sure , it is my fault with a bad explanation before.
Let me know thank you
Yes I think
As you already know, you just need to let the “Day Night Cycle” option unchecked in blender.
I made a test (using the exporter from the SU2 currently in flighting) and it works :
You can send me a blender sample that reproduce the issue and I will check it.

Ok thank you very much Boris !!!
Now it is ok !
Assuming it is the same rule for the spot (about day nigh cycle)
