Severity:Low Marketplace package name: Not present on Marketplace package (sws-aircraft-airvan and Kodiak)
Context: Mounted and dev mode.
Similar MSFS 2020 issue: Not applicable
Bug description:
Internally, one developer (developer 2) is responsible for cooking & deploying the aircraft. Since October, that developer has been getting different results on his builds compared to all the other team members.
When he builds a plane, bugs appear such as offset cargo attachments and overbright screens. The testersr eport the same issues when they get a build cooked by him.
However, when a build is cooked by me or someone else, these problems don’t exist.
This was not a problem in SU3. I suspect download corruption or problems with regional settings (i.e. using a comma for decimals on his PC).
We are preparing a community pack with the bugs present so you can review if requested.
We’ve noticed on our end that the installed SDK version and the behaviour files it contains are compiled with the behaviors during build if you’re using compiled behaviours.
we had an instance of a similar issue and were able to track it down to having different SDK versions.
Can you please follow @MarwanGH7929 ’s suggestion above: do a fresh install of the same SDK, then test again and let us know if the issue is still happening?
He did a clean install of the latest SU4 SDK and still gets the same problem.
One of our testers got the same bug while running the Community version, which was OK before for him. I was not able to reproduce on my side, developer mode or community-mounted. I am waiting for the tester to send me his files to do a diff check.
Boris, the diff didn’t yield any interesting results. We suspect the problem is duplicate GUIDs for SimPropContainers. The ones we use in the 2024 Kodiak were created off of copies from the Airvan, so there is a chance that the identical GUIDs confuse the game.
