Version: Retail Version - 1.38.2.0
Frequency: Consistently
Severity: Low
Context: Default Aircraft, Drone Camera, Very high altitude
Bug description: When at very high altitudes, drone camera stops following (detaches from) aircraft and keeps rising in altitude.
Repro steps:
- Place aircraft into slew mode
- Slew up to ~45,000 meters
- If you have Debug mode on, open “Debug | Display Position” window to monitor altitude
- Select Drone camera: Showcase, “Camera Drone”, “Drone Follow Mode” ON, Drone Lock Mode “OFF”
- Release slew mode (aircraft will fall)
- After a second or two, drone camera will detach from aircraft, which will keep falling
- You can keep pressing “RESET POSITION” button to catch up with the aircraft.
- This behavior stops at ~35,000 meters, where it reverts to correct behavior, with drone following aircraft consistently.
I know this looks like a very unlikely flight scenario, but I am developing a MSFS202x space flight module, and this is turning out to be a bit of a showstopper. Please, anyone, let me know if you can reproduce this, before I go for a full sim delete and re-install. I can create a video of this problem if needed.
(This is not a controller problem, I disconnected all peripherals and the same thing is happening)
