Error when exporting Blender models to the sim. What am I doing wrong?

Hello people.

I’m trying to export a custom model from blender to the sim, but when I build the scenery, these 4 errors appear in log:

What do I need to do to fix it?

You are most likely trying to compile an empty glTf (you model has no “nodes”)

Are you using blender? Can you share a screenshot ? Could be you have your mesh outside of the collection you are trying to export…

It’s not empty. It’s a complex model, and it has some logos that are not in the same collection as the main nodes, though. That might be the problem.

The text can’t be exported, and the logos are curves and can’t be exported, you need to convert everything to a mesh

The camera is not meat to be there

The main node is linked so many other nodes, this feel like an import from somewhere

All those issues may trip trip the exporter (without the multiexporter panel open it is not possible to know what are you actually trying to export

About the may model, I would break it down so into its main meshes, and work on them one by one (or join everything togheter and remove all the empty nodes lefts)

  1. Ok. How can I do that? And correct me if i’m wrong, but then if I convert everything to a mesh, won’t the text and curves lose their properties?
  2. What do you mean? The camera is rotated in this screenshot.
  3. It actually is, it’s an import from an old FSX scenery. I just corrected the colors and added some extra details. About the nodes, it shouldn’t be that way?
  4. Just checked, I can’t find the panel.
  5. How would I do that?
  1. yes you will…but you need it as a mesh to be exported
  2. You have the Blender camera in the scene, you will have to remove her.
  3. You can’t just correct something, you need to re create the materials from scratch (in your error stack trace missing nodes may come from them
  4. The multiexporter panel comes by pressing N on the keyboard
  5. If the model comes from you own stuff…you should already know about modeling, don’t you?

In any case…my suggestion is to start with something simple like creating your own objects, rather then trying to import a whole airport and fix it
Once you are familiar with the software you can go ahead with everything else
