the export gives me an error saying “Error During GLTF Export”. The first few times work perfectly fine without issues, but after multiple re-exports, even when nothing on the model itself is actually changed, the export fails.
Well, that kind of defeats the point of multiple exports after another doesn’t it. If I turn that of I also don’t need to re-export since the sim won’t load it anyways. Doing that costs a lot of time if I constantly have to re-build the project and load it again; and what’s the point of turning off a feature that was highly requested for 2024 because we did not have it in 2020.
I mean yes, it’s a workaround at best, but not a long-term solution.
It is likely due to the game locking the files while the in-game reload system is refreshing the glTF files and textures. As a result, when the export starts while those files are locked, the exporter cannot complete the export.
This also affects 3ds Max.
We are currently exploring ways to mitigate this and are running some tests.
