@Boris1 @FlyingRaccoon Can someone please walk
me through activating GPWS ? I have the same entries in cockpit.cfg as TBM (
that has GPWS) and I have Tried to activate via a switch using the event
GPWS_SWITCH_TOGGLE all to no Avail … There is ZERO information in the SDK
PLEASE ? Someone must know …
@Boris @FlyingRaccoon @SonantAlpaca @Nocturne @hydrastik9488 @Darwikey
Apologies for the multiple tags but it seems nobody is even seeing this post
… ?? It is a genuine request for assistance and the lack of information here
or in the SDK is holding up development of a commercial product “Somebody” at
ASOBO Must know the answer or at least be able to point me in the right
direction ? please ???
How it works is dependent on the avionics system you’re trying to use, as the
sim itself doesn’t really do much in terms of GPWS. Can you provide some
additional details about what you’re using?
Mostly custom avionics based on Both Default and Working Title latest… I cant
see anything special about the Kingair Avionics suite causing the GPWS to work
out of the box in that aircraft though ?
@FlyingRaccoon Bump Bump Bump I simply need to know the Process required for
Activating a GPWS in the Sim … whether it be via Default Avionics, Custom
Avionics or No Avionics ?? There is NOTHING In the SDK and No Details I can
find Anywhere else Can someone at ASOBO Answer this question please ?
Hello @ModelMuncher As far as I can tell, this section is irrelevant for Asobo
aircraft. The simulation expects to find that section in systems.cfg , not
cockpit.cfg. If you do so, you should be able to use the
GPWS_SWITCH_TOGGLE event to toggle the GPWS SYSTEM ACTIVE simvar,
however I don’t expect it to do anything else. ( @Nocturne FYI) GPWS audio
warnings on Asobo avionics aircraft are handled in NavSystem.js. That’s
where you will find condition evaluation and sound being played based on those
conditions. As for Working Title avionics based aircraft, they don’t rely on
that section either. Regards, Sylvain
