How to make body of water deeper

Hello,

Currently I’m working on a seaplane base in MSFS 2024. The banks of the body of water / at the docks are too shallow, which beaches the parked floatplanes. Is there a way to deepen the banks of the water?

It seems a couple of parked seaplanes on the satellite imagery were interpreted as a sandbank or elevation.

I tried it with polygons and rectangle heightmap editing, but the water level gets lowered with the terraforming.

Thank you,

Arie

This is how it looks now. The Twotter is beached and can’t move.

Hello @ArieBombarie395

There is depth gradient to transition between terrain and water.
It cannot be modified but what you can do is move your water polygon a bit more inland so that the depth were the aircraft are parked is more important.
You will probably need to do the quay with mesh instead of using the terrain though.

Let us know if this works for you.

Sylvain

Thank you Sylvain, it worked great. Now it is deep enough for the floatplanes. I will have a go at making a mesh. Thanks
