Incorrect text size rendering on MSFS2024 for XML Gauges

While we know it is outdated, we are still using XML to create some simple gauges and displays as it allows us to reuse code from FSX/P3D and it is also a very quick way for us to develop avionics… problem is that XML text elements render differently between FSX/MSFS2020 and MSFS2024.
It looks like the spacing is correct, but the font itself is drawn slightly bigger (maybe 2 pts) than it should be.

This is how text renders in MSFS2020 (correct):

This is how XML text renders on MSFS2024:

To be clear: the text elements work fine (and render in the same way) in FSX, P3D and MSFS2020.
The problem is only on MSFS2024.

Also, we used our new Eurofighter module (not yet released) as it is particularly evident, but the same issue shows on all of our planes with XML displays (F-35, T-45, M-346)

Hello @Scimmia1974

This is fixed in SU5 Beta.
Let us know if this is good for you.

Sylvain

@FlyingRaccoon

It seems fixed. Also, not sure if related to the fix, but in previous versions, sometimes bitmap images on XML gauges were drawn slightly incorrectly (apparently in slightly incorrect positions).
I was going to post a separate bug for that, but this does not seem to happen anymore in SU5 Beta… or at least is not noticeable, and I am struggling to find an example in which it sill happens.
If I find one, I will.
