Inverted switches on G3X sim attachment

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Medium
(Low - quality of life, workflow optimization, rare enough to not impact production, etc…
High - critical but workarounds are available, important feature not working as expected, frequent enough to impact production
Blocker - prevents from working on the project, prevents from releasing the product)

Marketplace package name: if applicable

Context: What package? When editing or mounted from Community? In main menu or in flight? etc…

Bug description: I would like to report that the “menu” and “back” button on the G3X sim attachment are switched. Maybe it is possible to adapt this so that they match the real thing. Simmers are used to these buttons being in a certain location, so in that regard it would make sense to keep it consistent as well.
Additionally I have one general question regarding the workflow when using the sim attachment. My understanding is that with the sim attachment I can skip the modeling and animation part. That is provided within the sim attachment. Panel.cfg should be covered as well. After adding the attachment the G3X seems to be missing some options, map is just blue, no engine indications etc.
So I would assume the attachment only provides a very simple panel.xml and I can configure and overwrite that with creating my own panel.xml? Will I be able to make use of all the options this way or are there limitations when using the sim attachment?

Hello @b1e1n7e

I have added this issue to our backlog.
Regarding the integration, it comes with a default panel.cfg.
Some dynamic parameters are explicitely exposed so you can configure the instrument index, as well as which circuits, potentiometer, etc… should be used.
The list of dynamic parameters and their default values are provided here: Instrument Attachments

Regarding, the map, engine and and all other aircraft specific configuration, this is up to you to configure through the panel.xml file as documented here: G3X Touch Overview | MSFS Avionics Frameworks and Instruments
