Landing Gear Contact Points & Clipping

So it seems that the same issue regarding wheel contact points is happening in 2024 too.

Aircraft with more than two main landing gears and with tilted boogies (A330, 787, 747, etc) clip under ground when landing. Also, when the rear wheel touches down the front wheel starts spinning as if it was on the ground already which to me says that there is only one contact point modeled.

Will there ever be an update regarding this? It is quite annoying and not realistic at all.

I hope we get a response regrading thisas well. I thought this would have been fixed in 2024 as well.

This seems to be a wishlist item for the sim and should be submitted on the other forum as such. I don’t think the SDK team has any responsibility for particular planes and how they work.

Are you asking if it’s possible to create a contact point for each wheel on a bogey, I suppose that could be a question, but, I imagine you can. It would only be a matter of creating the points and the animations appropriately.

They’re not going to change existing planes from this forum, though. Only the way SDK tools work.

Then again, I’m not positive you can create two contact points for a bogey though. Somebody smarter than me would have to answer that. And if the answer is no… wishlist here we come…
