Version: *FS2024 All version
Frequency: Consistently*
Severity: *High
(Low - quality of life, workflow optimization, rare enough to not impact production, etc…
High - critical but workarounds are available, important feature not working as expected, frequent enough to impact production
Blocker - prevents from working on the project, prevents from releasing the product)
Marketplace package name: if applicable
Context: Loaded from community, legacy aircraft, .FX Textures aren’t displayed the same as FS2020
Similar MSFS 2020 issue: N/A
Bug description: Light textures not displaying the same as they should be, they are legacy .FX files and it’s a legacy aircraft designed in FS2020. It’s quite hard to describe my issue, but it seems my textures are being mirrored/flipped in FS2024 in comparison to FS2020.

Here is an image of my aircraft in FS2020 with custom light textures:
And here is the same textures in FS24:
Not sure where to begin with diagnosing this, unsure on if it is my end or the sim, any help is much valued.
Many Thanks:

Hello @TJC.Aviation
So the issue occurs when you mount your 2020 package in 2024, or when you build a 2024 native version of your aircraft?
I have tried using some of your fx files but can’t replicate the issue so far.
Can you please provide us with a simple repro package with no external dependencies, that reproduces the issue?
Regards,
Sylvain
The issue occurs with a native 2020 package into 2024.
The package works fine within 2020.
The current available public version doesn’t feature the new textures with “Shadow” Implementation, please find below a version of our 787-9 with light shadows.
Requires the FS2020 B787-10 activated in “My Library” to work
Beacon and Wing lights are the current lights I have setup with custom textures

Many Thanks for your help and your time,

Ok, I see.
You are right, there seems to be a vertical symmetry compared to 2020.
This has been logged and will be investigated further.
Regards,
Sylvain
Thank you for your time! Is there a workaround for now, do I just need to flip/rotate my texture for FS24?
