Attempting to edit some custom LEGACY FX & Textures … I am struggling with
the textures I have copied the included FX_0.PNG.DDS bitmap and edited it but
cannot work out the correct DDS format to save it as… . I want the FX to look

Hello. Why would you want to edit the DDS file directly? DDS files are
generated when you build your package based on the content of the PNG or JPG
source bitmap and the flags you define. SDK Documentation

this does not apply to Legacy Textures in the effects\textures folder I just
want to know the DDS Format … is it too much to ask ?
It should also apply to effects texture. You can provide us with your package
sources so we can identify what’s going wrong. As I said, the DDS format
depends on the source file and the flags you define so I don’t have the answer
you’re waiting for. You can use any bitmap analysis tool to see how the DDS is
encoded, you don’t need us for that. Regards, Sylvain
