LocPac Inclusion for Missing Manufacturer

Any possibility of adding the following lines to your default en-US.locPak ?
My required Aircraft (Scottish Aviation Bulldog) entries are Missing
“ATCCOM.AC_MODEL BULLDOG.0.text”: “Bulldog”, “ATCCOM.AC_MODEL BULLDOG.0.tts”:
“Bulldog”, “ATCCOM.ATC_NAME SCOTTISHAVIATION.0.text”: “Scottish Aviation”,
“ATCCOM.ATC_NAME SCOTTISHAVIATION.0.tts”: “Scottish Aviation”,

Hello. Have you tried adding those strings to your own package locPak file? If
so, this is not working? Regards, Sylvain

I can now confirm that the addition of the above lines are Ineffective when
added to the product Local En-US.locPac … It is however fully operable when
added to the default MSFS En-US.locPac stored in Onestore\FS_BASE folder ,.
which of course we cannot write to or distribute with the product

use “$$:Bulldog” using $$ will trigger the Text-To-Speech stuff in MSFS
directly

Sorry can you clarify where to use “$$:Bulldog” please ? In which File, In
what Format ?

aicraft.cfg [general]-section → atc_model

@ModelMuncher Can you try adding a @yourpackagename, in front of the TT
entry in your aircraft.cfg. This will force the localization manager to
consider your own locPak file instead of the fs-base one.

Just tested it on the Da62 sample provided with the SDK and it works. You also
want to remove the spaces in your locPak file entries: “ATCCOM.AC_MODEL
BULLDOG.0.text” should be “ATCCOM.AC_MODEL_BULLDOG.0.text”

Hi @FlyingRaccoon, I’m sorry, could you please be more explicit about the format of the TT lines you’re suggesting?

  1. If I remove the space from the ATC lines, will that fix the problem, or do I have to add the @yourpackagename to the line too?
  2. I’m not sure I understand what the definition of yourpackagename is…
    For the plane Community\aircraft-hcg-spartan-7w-executive\SimObjects\Airplanes\hcg-spartan-executive

Would I write:
atc_type = “@hcg-spartan-executive\TT:ATCCOM.ATC_NAME SPARTAN.0.text”
atc_model = “@hcg-spartan-executive\TT:ATCCOM.AC_MODEL EXECUTIVE.0.text”

or

atc_type = “@aircraft-hcg-spartan-7w-executive_TT:ATCCOM.ATC_NAME SPARTAN.0.text”
atc_model = “@aircraft-hcg-spartan-7w-executive_TT:ATCCOM.AC_MODEL EXECUTIVE.0.text”

As you can see above, the format of the line is not clear; do I need a space after @yourpackagename, or a slash, or an underscore, or perhaps nothing, just @yourpackagenameTT:ATCCOM…
?

Or has this issue been fixed and I can just add the lines to the aircraft.cfg files as they normally would be, as long as I define new ones in my locPak files?

I’m not seeing any examples of this in the Da62 sample files, so I’m not sure what the format is.

Oh, I missed this.

Does that mean you don’t need @yourpackagename in front of the TT entry.

It just needs to be defined without spaces in the line (i.e. with _ instead of spaces in both the locPak file and in the aircraft.cfg. I’ll test that and report back.

Thanks,

Tom
