Bug description:

Hi there,

I am writing to seek support for the ingestion of my new product (the MBB Bo 105 helicopter) on the marketplace content platform. For the last few weeks, I have been working with my partners at Miltech Simulations to solve career-related issues that were blocking ingestion of the product.

We started with 500+ errors on our first submission, and worked down to just under 10 by our fourth. For our last submission, I am confident these issues were entirely fixed, and the package was ready for ingestion.

Just when I expected ingestion to pass, I was met with another failure, but this time an empty error report was generated:

I asked the MP team for support on teams, and this was their response:

The issues above seem to arise from airplane-specific certifications, which leads the ingestion process to expect airplane-specific equipment and files. Obviously, since this is a helicopter, it cannot find them and the ingestion fails.

The bug however, is that our package exclusively has rotorcraft specialisations:

So I’m not sure where or why the ingestion process is finding airplane certs?

We also tested the career missions in-game, and they work as expected.

Please know that this is my first time trying to submit a career-compatible aircraft, so if there’s anything I missed I do apologise!

Any advice would be appreciated. We have been going back and forth with the Marketplace team for almost 2 months now, with no clarity on how to address this issue. There are no warnings or issues on Career Mode debugger in MSFS SDK, and as shown above the ingestion just fails with an empty error.

Unfortunately not.
The ingestion pipeline fails without returning any error and we are not able to replicate this in a debug context.
There’s nothing that can be done on your side and I can’t guarantee this will be resolved quickly.

I will monitor the situation and report back as soon as some progress is made.

I understand that resolving this issue may be challenging without proper debugging. However, it has been ongoing for several weeks now, resulting in lost revenue due to other marketplace releases and delays in processing our request.

We kindly request that this matter be given priority, as it will undoubtedly affect other add-ons.

Each day we wait means more potential customers lost. It does not look good for anyone.

It’s 3 different companies affected by the failed ingestion. Marketplace team hasn’t been particularly cooperative regarding this issue either…

Beyond the lost revenue, there is also a reputational impact as our console community feels left out.

@FlyingRaccoon Just FYI, we removed all instances of specialisation property in the preset aircraft.cfgs and ingestion was successful.

Please put this issue on priority however, our users are eager to experience the helicopter with career mode :slight_smile:
