Modern Hydraulics: Missing "Custom" Actuator Type in SimObject Editor Dropdown

Version: 1.6.34.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Low

Bug description: I’m reporting a minor inconsistency between the SDK documentation and the SimObject Editor UI for the modern hydraulics system.

The SDK documentation indicates that a hydraulic actuator can be defined with a Type set to “Custom”. However, when creating or editing an actuator in the SimObject Editor, the Type dropdown does not include a “Custom” option.

When “Custom” is entered manually as instructed by the SDK, the editor flags it with a red validation error, even though the configuration itself continues to function correctly in-sim.

I’ve attached two images that clearly show:

  • The SDK guidance referencing the Custom actuator type
  • The SimObject Editor dropdown missing the Custom option and showing the validation warning

This is being reported for consistency and clarity between the SDK and the editor UI.

Hello @Flysimware ,

This has already been fixed, along with the missing “Tailhook” type, in the upcoming SU5.
I will update this topic once the fix is available for testing.

Regards,
Boris
