MSFS2020 vegetation exclusion not working under MSFS2024 on LFBC - Cazeaux

Since SU6, we have noticed that vegetation exclusions from MSFS2020 scenery do not work in MSFS2024 ONLY on one of our airports to exclude default Microsoft vegetation (specifically on LFBC - Cazeaux that is a military blurred/masked platform that we’ve re-created) and our own vegetation polygons does not appear (this issue is ONLY on LFBC at this moment).
We tried adding various types of exclusions, but it still doesn’t work!
It would be great to restore this functionality, as we are finding that MSFS2020 scenery is encountering more and more issues in MSFS2024 as the versions progress.

Hello @MedianPenny8781

I could not replicate this so far.
Can you please show your scenery with the Debug->Terrain->Debug Shapes debug enabled and “Draw Type” option checked?

Can you please also provide us with your scenery.xml file (containing at least the vegetation exclusion objects)?

Regards,
Sylvain

We’ve tried all types of exclusion like we usually use for all our VFR sceneries, as you can see vegetation should be only in green polygons areas !
IMPORTANT : our scenery is a FS2020 scenery runing under FS2024 !

Hello @MedianPenny8781

I suspect this is the same root cause as what’s causing the issue reported here:
Vegetation polygons inoperative with default priority - [MSFS 2024] Bug Reports / Airport & Sceneries - MSFS DevSupport

We will let you know when a fix candidate is available so we can confirm this.

Sylvain

thank you !

in the same spirit, do you plan to fix the scenery priority issue with fs2020 sceneries under xbox (running on fs2020 or fs2024). because the reorganisation tool does not exist we do not have any solution to change the priority !

It would require to backport the order hint system to MSFS 2020. There is no such plan at the moment.

Sylvain

Ok I can understand, but the solution should be to make microsoft/asobo addon sceneries (that are provided by default in the simulators) loaded BEFORE vendor’s sceneries, isn’t it a logical way to work ? Because your WU sceneries are identified as “M” like Microsoft they are loaded AFTER our own sceneries, it is just unbelievable !!!
Just add an underscore before the “M” and we’ll be able to sell our sceneries in the marketplace
