Hello, I’m following the procedure as per the create windshield wiper mask description document, but when I texture bake, the texture doesn’t seem to bake at all, Is there a mistake I’m missing?
Helper: Two Empty helpers (Wiper A & B) are placed on the windshield(+parents)
Animation: Wiper animation is set from Frame 0 to 50
Helpers are parented to the wiper blades and move correctly along the windshield surface during the animation.
Tool Settings: Action In Start Time and End Time are correctly set to 0 and 50(The instructions say to set it to 0~10, but do I absolutely have to set the wiper animation keyframes to 0~10?)
I’m using Blender 3.3.21 with the latest MSFS 2024 SDK tools
Are there any SDK developers who might be able to help with this? I’ve been trying to resolve it, but I still can’t figure out what I’m missing. I’d really appreciate any advice
I rewrote much of the wiper mask generator a few months ago for my project. My version works with Blender 4.2, I doubt it would work on <4.2. In the latest SDK, it looks like it may have been reworked by Asobo again so I recommend trying the official generator with a newer version of Blender. You can just generate the mask and then use the texture in your preferred version, it only has to be done once.
Hopefully someone from Asobo will chime in, however, if not, drop me a dm and I’ll help you get it working.
