Upon testing SU6 I noticed all my 3rd party airports both ones I’ve purchased and ones I’ve built myself are covered in these new light poles. I was wondering if there are plans to add an “apron light pole object” check box to the exclusion rectangle properties so we can place one rectangle and be done and not have to worry about excluding other library objects.
Yeah, when I saw this feature announced, I got worried about “Oh no, here we go again, light poles everywhere we don’t need them”, like the taxiway lights we get in aprons all over the place. I already put my own light poles in my sceneries. I hope I don’t have to go back and edit them to remove light poles that don’t belong. Can it please not be automatic for 3rd party airports? As a developer, perhaps I’d choose to turn it on, but, unless you’re getting their locations from accurate sources as to their location and type, please make it an option that you must turn on.
Hello @dustNslats @FlyingsCool
This is not supposed to happen, and there is already a fix in the pipes that will be released with a later SU6 build.
Basically these light masts will be excluded if your airport has taxiway objects or the deleteAllVectorPlacement delete command enabled.

Sylvain
What’s a “Taxiway Object”? Taxiway paths? Sorry, I’m just not knowing the terminology. I definitely place Taxiway paths at all of my airports ![]()
I’m not sure if I’ve used “deleteAllVectorPlacement”.
But that’s great information, thanks!
My apologies, my answer wasn’t really clear either ![]()
TaxiwayPoint objects are the ones that will be checked

Sylvain
Just clarifying: if any taxiway points have been placed, ramp lighting won’t be placed?
I’m on board with that. ![]()
