I guess I should have answered through this forum instead of email. here it is:
Thanks for the feedback. The date and time are set while creating the BushTrip. Could you tell me which Flight (Flight Number) you were testing? I just did a test for: “FLT076 Chap21 Baron First Flight”, and I got the same Date and Time that were set when I created the flight (see picture below), for both the Diamond DA62 and the Baron G58.
With the exception of historical flight, like the spirit of st-Louis or the flight over the English Channel, where it is the date and time of the event,. The Date and time is set to create the proper environment like Summer, winter, night, morning, evening weather, location, etc. It is part of the initial conditions.
However if you are using the FlightLog application that come with the package, it will be the Current local date and time of your flight run, updated when you hit the Start button, that will be logged . I just tested under MSFS2020 with FLT104, a 1909 Bushtrip and I did get the current date and time in FlightLog. In MSFS2020 the date and time was Jul 25, 1909, while in 2024 it was reset to Jul 25,1990.
I am surprise about your date, because in MSFS2024 Free Flight, I can’t set a date prior to Jan 1, 1990.
I see that you tried under MSFS2024. As most MSFS-RWT for MSFS2020 exercises will fly under MSFS2024, I can’t recommend it at the moment. Some aircrafts have changed names or have new version in MSFS2024, Navigation data is not always transfer correctly to the GPS and EFB.
I am currently converting all the flights to MSFS2024, and will make a new version for MSFS2024, when Microsoft make Bushtrip available again. I will keep updating both versions in parallel.
