Overlapping Sceneries

Hello Folks,

I’m brand new to scenery development and there are 2 things that I did not manage a way to deal with.

1 - This one I believe is easier, but the thing is that exclusion rectangles seems not to be working for me .

Will it work only when I place my scenery in the community folder or is it suposed to be working already ?

2 - If you see, my object has some overlaps with the default terrain, how can I fix it ?

thanks in advance

Hello, I am also “young” in this SDK development.
Does your rectangle has the properties modified to actually exclude stuff?
Also, I would suggest to use at least for testing “a polygon” because is more flexible in size and properties. You can use polygons to make exclusions, multiple exclusions types or selective, even use for terraforming, creating lakes etc.
Here is how it should look the rectangle to exclude stuff. You can see the tick on “exclude buildings” and the houses under it disappearing live in sim as you do it.

Hey @zaelu1702 , I tried with Polygon it it worked , the impression I have is that excluding rectangle works when you want to exclude something that is not autogen, like static plane on a developed scenery or something like that, your tip was very nice thanks for the advice.

Now whats annoying me is this “overlap” between ground and my scenery object

For that you can use another polygon (copy the one you use for exclusion or work with it if it’s offering enough flexibility) to terraform. You have several options. Enforce elevation, move it up and down, play with fall offs. You can’t adjust individual points of the polygon height just the whole polygon
