PaintedLines Outline Flaw

I was delighted to see the Outline Feature of PaintedLine, but puzzled as to why this idea was not implemented on Paths or Taxiway lines. However, I hid my PATH taxiway Lines and overlayed them with Paintedlines set to ENHANCED_CENTER with trueAngle set to BOTH_ENDS.

The result was an enhanced lines with an outline at either end, but not in the middle. Switching this to ALL_POINTS created a contiguous outline, but now it is made up of straight lines between vertices.

The type of lines seems to be irrelevant, and I have tried this on more than one airport with the same result.

I have found that the painted outlines will disappear if you overlay a taxi point on top of a node in the painted line. If you instead stagger them - move the taxi points to a spot between two painted line nodes - the outline of the painted line will return.

Nice one, that works. I now have to work out how to do that automatically, but knowing the problem is the way to finding a solution.
