Pilot camera not always respecting "drone_collision_in" mesh boundary

Here’s the scenario. I have a very tiny cockpit in an aircraft I’m actively working on and when I spawn, the camera movement is corrected bound inside the DRONE_COLLISION_ION mesh that I have created - it’s very low poly and normals are pointing towards the inside.

However, during flight, if I pull high G maneuvers, the camera starts to move and doesn’t appear bound to the mesh any longer and can even sometimes appear outside the entire aircraft.

How can I make sure the camera movement generated by the sim (such as G forces) are bound to the same limitations as me moving the camera?

Hello @CptAirWo1f ,

Did you check if your mesh was correctly exported in your aircraft exterior lod0 gltf ?
Do you have the same behavior in SU7 (currently in flighting) ?

we did confirm that the mesh was properly exported (and it works perfectly fine when flying normally). It just breaks when the aircraft is put under more severe G forces - the kind that would start animating the camera. I haven’t not tested it in SU7 yet but I’ll update you here once I get a chance.

Feel free to provide us with your project (or at least a project that can easly reproduce the behavior) and we will investigate
