with engines running. I’ve tried this but this only jumps into the air and sinks after that.
static_pitch = -1.7
static_cg_height = 2.75
gear_system_type = 1
set_max_compression = 1
tailwheel_lock = 0
max_number_of_points = 10
gear_locked_on_ground = 1 ; Defines whether or not the landing gear handle is locked to down when the plane is on the ground.
I believe ive had this issue, in my case it turned out to be one of the contacts was spawning below ground level, but there may be other causes (mine jumped then sank with or without engines running though)
I ended up raising the CG and adjusting the contacts to get them close before i could put the CG back where it belonged
My plane only sinks with hydraulics: gear_system_type = 1 not with electric. Thanks,
but with electric the G key doesn’t work. Why the ground debug says Wheel, but I’ve named them Leftwheel etc.?
upgraded msfs2020 to 2024 twin jet aircraft ok but how to convert that to modular? With the modular turboprop template the plane sinks. Thanks
if its built in 2024 its native and capable of ‘modularity’, even if its not using it afaik
this shouldnt affect the contact points so i am at a loss there, unless you have the contacts and gear in an attachment that isnt loading correctly (ive converted a few and never seen this)
the ‘easiest conversion’ would be to use the Simple Aircraft Sample (available from the main samples download within 2024), it pretty much uses the main common folder for the entire aircraft so no splitting the model or configs to start with, maybe try with that ?
ive never tried using the in game editor template selection your using, but that would most likely require the preset and attachments to be set up correctly - does that sample your using do this if you just build it default (before adding or changing anything) ?
EDIT:
i tested that template, it should work just fine for this and it does not ‘sink’ when built by default
this isnt a result of ‘modular’ since this template isnt really using that function either
ok, well you can either try to figure this out or go back to x-plane - your choice
Im not good with systems but there are some debuggers in game that may help
for now, I personally, would set the Gear to Manual, since that may affect the One Issue you posted about, that will effectively Remove the systems from the loop for This Issue until you can learn or get some help on the systems
I’m still messing with this. It didn’t sink for a while as hydraulics was ommited completely… Any help?
my upgraded msfs2020 project works fine but not the new modular. I even copied all sdk da62 settings and it SINKS!!!
what a mess.
Now even msfs2024 crashs when I try to edit ingame.
