Pneumatic: Engine bleed PSI debug values incorrect

Version: 1.5.27.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: High

Bug description:

In the pneumatic debugger, Engine 2 is not displaying bleed PSI correctly. In addition, when both engines are off, the debugger shows 12.5 PSI instead of dropping to 0 PSI as expected.

This makes it difficult to verify and tune bleed-air behavior at engine-off conditions, because the debug readout never reflects a true zero-pressure state.

An image illustrating this behavior is attached.

Is it showing absolute pressure rather than gauge pressure? Then the 12.5 psi would be the outside (ambient) air pressure.

The units themselves don’t seem to be the issue here. Whatever the reference (absolute or gauge), index 1 and index 2 should behave consistently.

In our tests, index 1 of this SimVar shows the expected bleed pressure and reacts correctly to engine bleed state. Index 2, under the same conditions, either stays at 0 or at an obviously wrong value and never updates.

So the bug isn’t about whether the value is absolute vs gauge; it’s that the index 2 instance of the SimVar simply doesn’t work, while index 1 does.

Hello @Flysimware

We checked with the 737.
There is indeed a small difference between engine 1 and engine 2 pneumatic bleed air pressure (I have logged a separate bug for that), but it is nowhere near as big as the difference you are have in simvarwatcher

With both engines off, you should see 0.0 PSI on the debuger.
The simvar pneumatics engine bleed air pressure should then return to a value around 12–13 PSI, which is related to the ambient pressure (but not exactly equal to it), after waiting for few minutes.

I’m not sure yet how to reproduce the issue.
Any warning / error in the logs ?

Regards,
Boris

Still the same. And when I rev engine 2 the left simvar value increases slightly. So weird. Going to send you my project. Keep and eye out for an message.

I also tested the 737. It seems to work well. One thing I noted different is there is a APU as well. Also the values do not match the 737 nor my project. So the simvars is much lower in value.
