Power Lines Causing Unwanted TIN Exclusion

Version: 1.7.27.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Low

Bug description:

I’ve noticed an issue where power line objects appear to trigger unintended TIN exclusion beneath them. As shown in the attached screenshot, the terrain under and around the power lines is being flattened or excluded in rectangular areas aligned with the object placement. This creates visible terrain artifacts and ground texture inconsistencies that should not occur from power line placement alone.

Repro steps: Check areas with Power Lines.

Hello @MateoEs7874

By design, we add exclusions for TIN, vegetation, and buildings, along with the powerline objects. However, the aerial imagery should remain visible.

Do you have the coordinates for your screenshot?

We found that the issue may be mitigated by lowering the graphics settings and updating the graphics drivers. Could you test this and report back whether it changes the display of the aerial imagery?

Thank you

Regards,
Boris

Hi Boris,

This is KFLL, East from the runways. I’ve just noticed that this happens only to the ones closer to the airport.

Just take a look at the screenshot.

I updated my graphic drivers, but no change. I’ve used Medium and High settings too.

Regards

I could not reproduce the same behavior.

Do you see this behavior before opening your project / after opening it / or all the time?

Can you try to delete the rolling cache and the manual cache and then restart the game to see if it’s better ?
