I’m having problems with the light presets in FS24,especially the daylight rendering.
I made a comparison test between FS20 and FS24 using the same lights in the same location and the result in FS24 is not satisfying.
I am particularly concerned about the wig-wag (runway guard) light system. These are yellow flashing lights on each side of a taxiway a few meters before the threshold, usually at the hold-short position.
In FS20 my settings for the WW are : radius 30 and intensity 200, and the results are quite satisfying both night and day with good rendering in daylight.
In FS24 I cannot obtain the same result int daylight because the lights are almost invisible. I’ve tried everything even by adding tons of “0” but it still doesn’t render properly.
I have also created “stop bar” lights across relevant taxiways and I have the same problem : all right in FS20 night and day, but poor or almost invisible in daylight with FS24.
I’v tested with FS24 1.5.21.0 (or below) and 1.4.20.0.
I attach some pictures : note that In FS20 the wig-wag object is not present and in FS24 I have moved it slightly for better viewing.
Best regards

I thank you for logging this problem. Hopefully it will be corrected in the near future. I should upload my mod shortly but I soon as I think it’s a “ready to go”, I notice something wrong… I’ve put the MS20 settings and I 'll see later.
Best regards.

SU5 Beta introduces a new Boost Intensity During Daylight checkbox in the Airport object light preset properties.
Let us know if this is good enough for you.
I thank you for this. I’ve left the FS sphere shortly after loading 1.7.6.0 and I will check that at the end of this month and let you know.
Best regards.
It’s a great improvement and I thank you for that! This is an example of the three light preset in daylight and it’s rendering quite well!! I’m running 1.7.7.0 at this time.
Best regards.
