The QUICK PREFLIGHT keybind does not consistently remove all external elements as intended. While certain components such as chocks and pitot covers are successfully removed, other items (eg. “Simple Elements”) remain in place. This can be observed in the 330LT, for example, with the wingtip covers.
As described on the manual:
“Simple elements are elements which do not prevent the aircraft from flying if they are not removed, and they have no consequence for performances, wear, instrument functionality, etc… Essentially they are cosmetic elements that are including the preflight checks for immersion and realism.”
Even though these elements do not prevent aircraft from flying, removing them is part of the preflight/walkaround process. These would get removed regardless, and you will not fly with these ON in normal circumstances. As such, we would expect the “Quick Preflight” Keybind to remove all external interactables, including Simple Elements.
On this topic as well - we have a keybind to remove (partially) covers programatically. Is there a way/can we get a way to programatically add all covers back to the aircraft?
