**Bug description:The “Road Collision” property seems to be ignored by ‘Ground Vehicle’ type SimObject, the object falls through the polygon regardless if the object was created with 2020SDK or native 2024 SDK (Blender). Interestingly the ‘User Aircraft’ does not ignore it, they correctly assumes them as ground.
In MSFS 2020 it works properly.
On the picture you see the helicopter dolly’s wheels falls under the floor. The floor is elevated by 10 cm’s from the mesh ground.
My bad, I should have mentioned that this is introduced with Sim Update 3, on both Blender and 3DSMax.
So this is only available with the flighting version of the SDK at the moment.
Thanks for the answer! I skipped the beta.
Where do I get now this blender plugin? I really need because we are close for releasing our product but we need to fix the ground first.
We installed the beta 2024 and its SDK but it seems it still has the old plugin because we do not see the option.
Is Blender showing the correct plugin version after you installed the beta SDK?
If not, you might have originally installed the plugin by providing a .zip archive instead of providing the path to SDK “addons” folder?
Note: be cautious with using a SU3 beta SDK to produce content that you plan to release on SU2. This can cause unexpected behavior.
Thanks! You were right, it was not properly installed. I got the 4.3.4 plugin and the “Ground Collision material” setting appeared.
Interestingly the problem was not solved the ground vehicle still falled below the polygon however I’m on SU2 yet with the sim (1.4.20.0).
The behaviour will be also solved in SU3 only?
