Some lighting issues discovered while using the 2020 model

Version: 1.5.27

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Low/High/Blocker

Bug description:

  1. The Volumetric value in the FX file can only display the effect of 0 or 1.0 in MSFS. For example, Volumetric=0.3 is actually 0, and the displayed value in User lights is also 0.

  2. When moving and walking in control mode, occasional sudden disappearance of lighting effects on the ground, such as flashing lights, may occur when approaching the range of light illumination. But when you exit the control mode and re-enter, you can see that the disappearing navigation light is displayed normally again.

  3. The newly added light spot effect cannot be bound to the display hidden control component for display control. The display or abnormality of the spot effect can only be controlled by adjusting the potentiometer. I am not sure if this is a problem. If not, is it possible to support display hidden control in the future?

Thanks

Hello @Nvnv

Please stick to 1 issue per bug report as they are not necessary related and need to be tracked separately.

  1. Already tracked through this bug report: Possible Volumetric Lighting Issues With SU3 - [MSFS 2024] Bug Reports / Aircraft - MSFS DevSupport

  2. Can you show a video demonstrating the problem? What aircraft does this occur with?

  3. I am not sure what you mean by “display hidden control”. Are you talking about the visibility of the node the light is attached to?
If so, this is tracked here: Light flares ignore <VISIBILITY_CODE> - [MSFS 2024] Bug Reports / VFX - MSFS DevSupport
If not, please create a dedicated bug report with more details.

Sylvain

Thank you for your reply. I will pay attention to the content and quantity of feedback issues in the future.

The issue with 1 and 3 is the content in the tracking link you provided, and I will closely monitor these two posts.

We would like to wait for you to solve issue 1 and 3 before retesting 2 issue .

Thanks
